Reading

Do you remember the magical time when you learned to read? Do you have or remember favorite stories or characters within those stories? Reading is wonderful! drjohnthumb.JPG

Did you ever consider the commitment and dedication made by the teachers who taught you? These people helped you more than than you can remember. There were probably hundreds of vocabulary and spelling tests. All were meant to improve your life.

As you grew, your ability stretched to grasp plots, character arcs, heroes and villains. Mysteries kept your attention until the end. If you are like me, you formed relationships with these fictional characters. At the end of the stories you missed them.

Although it is difficult to choose a favorite, my all time favorite is "Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. It is wonderfully constructed. There is love, hate, violence, and suspense within this story. I recommend it highly.

The point is, the more you read, the better you write. We all benefit from a well written post.

Here is today's beauty.
