Loudmouth Schnook

in #life8 years ago

The first time I heard this phrase was on a Foghorn Leghorn cartoon. After a lifetime, I finally looked up the ‘schnook’ part. The word means someone who is easily fooled. 8642D033-D48A-42C3-B89B-F3A30745CFA7.jpeg

In retrospect... I am one. I have been known to speak loudly without much thought. I have also been a fool; especially where women are concerned.

Discussion about being fooled by women is beyond the scope of a blog post, so we will focus on the ‘loudmouth’ part. Most of us find people who speak loudly to be obnoxious.

Unfortunately, there are many such individuals in my family. As a child I noticed that speaking loudly was employed to emphasize a point or to prove your being serious about your opinion.

I noticed myself doing so with my dog. Can you see how this habit fits well with being a fool?

I have since been practicing whispering to make myself heard. Whispering is also effective in communication.

Here is today’s beauty.

Normal volume is my preferred way to talk however when the dog does not do what I ask loud does come in to play.

Is incredible the content of communication and life.
Friend doctor, excellent job in one excellent post.

wow,,thats amazing post

great communication path

Both speaking loudly and whispering are means to communicate. Whispering is used when you commutate with few people or one just as you whisper to your dog but you got to talk loudly when you are communicate with many people

For effective communication, you have to understand the other party you are communicating with and you have to know exactly when to shout and when to whisper.

Whispering is awesome effective communication when we heared it,,thanks sir for sharing your post

I think the way we say things is as important to drive home out point. Because someone speaks Latin doesn't mean he knows how to speak, just like the person who took a vow, it doesn't mean the person knows how to love. Talking loud doesn't mean we would always be heard. I am guilty of that too, sometimes. It's more on what we have to say. I like the way your posts come through. It involves lot of thought and they are eye openers.
