Long Weekends

In the U.S. this coming Monday is a holiday... Memorial Day. Wave the flag and have a picnic. This marks the beginning of our summer season.

For me... nothing changes. Having not been invited to any picnics. I will stay home or pop over to visit my mom.

I hope for some magical pipeline filling time. Allow me to explain:

When I am creating... either the magic is there, or it’s not. Without internal magic, music can quickly become formulaic. It is easy to fall into the swamp of common or worse.. get lost in the caves of boring. One more time...

Art is a bit easier. It requires tedious attention to detail after the composition is set.

Blogs are the easiest to notice major snore factors if the magic is gone. Usually I can switch mediums to find existing magic.
