The well-known politician and no less famous his death
"Cherchez la femme" - the famous phrase that reveals the cause of death of Félix Faure the president of France.
Félix François Faure (30 January 1841 – 16 February 1899) was President of France from 1895 until his death in 1899.
The famous French politician working for the good of his country and had many plans for the future. However, in 58 years, he died. The cause of his death - that left a memory of it, and the pride of the French. In all official documents written that Faure died in office, while working at his desk.
Félix Faure was rich, famous, smart and enjoyed success with women. He had a mistress, like a real Frenchman. Very often meetings with his mistress took place at the Presidential Palace on the Champs Elysees. They were together on that fateful day.
The servants found the president, lying on the couch, and half-naked mistress. A few hours later, Felix Faure died of a stroke. According to rumors, the president became ill when the mistress was engaged in oral sex with him.
Even the tomb of Félix Faure recalls the true cause of death.
