Frozen ice ball 🎈水風船を凍らせると...

Hi everyone!
Summer is almost over... kids will be going back to school soon but they are still home and I'm stuck with my little one this week and I'm running out of idea how to keep her entertained!!! So I said...couple days ago...out of blue... didn't even know if it was interesting for her...I said, what will happen if we fill the balloon with water and freeze it? My daughter said we will have frozen ice ball! Of course we will! But I was desperate so I filled up one balloon with water while my daughter was shouting "No~~~ why you wanna make ice ball for???" Lol... and put it in the freezer. I saw my daughter's eyes shine with curiousity that moment.
Now she can't leave the balloon alone. She would go check on it every now and then till it actually froze a little and broke when she poked. She learn to leave it alone till next day.

こちら、まだ夏休み中でございます。長い長いカナダの夏休み、もう少しで終わるのですが、ここへ来て子供たちを楽しませるネタが尽きてしまいました。 行き詰まって何もアイディアのなかった私は...風船に水を入れて凍らせたらどうなるかなぁ～...氷のボールが出来るでしょっとサラリとかわす娘でしたが、私が風船に水を入れて、それを冷凍庫に持って行くと食い付いて来ました。
小玉スイカ程の大きさの物が凍るには結構時間がかかります。時々様子を見に行ってはつついていた娘ですが、少し凍ったものを壊してしまったらしく、その後はちゃんと凍るまで待つと言っていました。

It is actually really cool looking. It wasn't frozen to the centre so we could see the little bubble moving around.

とってもキレイです。まだ中まで凍っていなくて、中で空気の泡が動いているのが見えます。

It's too cold to hold in your hand for picture taking!!!

冷た過ぎて、手に持って写真を撮るのに苦労しました。

...and you know this kind of thing doesn't end right away...I knew that! Lol... she is keeping it of course! and we made bigger ice ball!!!

そして、氷のボール作りに火がついてしまった...

This time my daughter had her friend over when we revealed it. After that they thought it would be fun to play soccer with it...NOT!!!...they found out soon enough...they asked me for sticks to play so I gave them a hockey stick and a field hockey stick ...so they play hockey for a while....and at the end they wacked the second ice ball which was not frozen to the centre in half!!! and back in the freezer with the third balloon filled with water lol

この日はお友達が来ている時に氷で遊ぶことになり、1日目に作った氷でサッカーをしたら面白いかも...え？？？....すぐに気付いたようで、棒が欲しいと言ってきました。良かった良かった😅ホッケーのスティックとフィールドホッケーのスティックを渡すと暫くの間ホッケーをして遊び、また暫くするとそれにも飽きて2日目の氷を叩いて割って...やっぱりそうなるのね😅

Well, I will end my story here but I don't know when this ice ball making fun will end. Never know I might end up with balcony full of ice ball ;)
