How Do You Establish a Residency When You Lack a Permanent House or Apartment?
I noticed this post from @teamhumble about figuring out how to offer a permanent residence when you lack a permanent address. His post discussed the benefits of some future blockchain app for this. That sounds like an interesting idea, but what are some simple solutions that you can use now?
Of course, plenty of full-time RV residents have come up with various ideas. In many cases, they can use their vehicle registrations with the state to establish state residency.
What if you don't live in an RV? You might be able to get some friends or relatives to let you use their address. If you already have a bank account or similar accounts, you can switch them to that address. Also, you might be interested in reading this answer to a FAQ about using services like Virtual Mailbox as an address for the DPS.
Nomads, What Are Your Solutions?
Lots of folks are ditching traditional homes for a nomadic lifestyle, but banks, the DPS, and other services might want an address and not just a cell phone number. It's a good question. Do you have any other solutions?
