I would like to share this story that I have read which give me an interesting overview in life. I hope if not some, many of us can relate and learn the lesson of what the story wanted to conveyed to everyone.

The Story Of Seed

There was a successful business man who's​ grow old and he knew he needs to find a successor to take over his business. Instead of choosing one of his director or his children, he decided to do it in different way so he called up his young executives and gathered them all.

He said to them that it's time for him to step down and choose the next CEO from them. They are all shocked, but he keeps on talking. He said that "in this day I will give each one of you a special kind of seeds, you have to plant and water it, and bring it back in here after one year from today and from what you have grown of the seed that I have given you, I will then judge the plant that you bring and the one that I choose will be the next CEO."

One of the young executives who was in there named Jim who also got a seed. So when he comes home he excitedly told his wife and they plant the seed. He put fertilizer and water the plant daily watching it to grow. A couple of weeks past by and other executives already talks about the plant that was starting to grow but the seed that Jim's plant is still not showing up.

Another weeks has past but still nothing to grow. And now many have starting talking of their growing up plants, and Jim's started to felt that he is a failure. Six months went by - but still nothing so Jim's knew he killed his seed. Everyone is talking of their trees and tall plant, and Jim's said nothing to his colleagues. But he still keep on giving fertilizer and watered the plant everyday, he really wanted it to grow.

The year has finally come for them to bring the growing plant from the seed they just have planted for inspection. While Jim's told his wife that he is not going to bring an empty pot.

But his wife asked him to be honest of what had happened. Jim's felt sick to his stomach for he knew this will be the most embarrassing day of his life, but he also knew his wife is right. So, he take his empty pot to the boardroom and he was amazed of the variety of beautiful plants that he saw grown by his colleagues with all the shaped and sizes. And while he put his empty pot on the floor,many laughs at him and some felt sorry for him.

When the CEO arrives he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives. While Jim is trying to hide from the back. "My what a great plants, tree and flowers you have grown! said the CEO "Today one of you will appointed to be the next CEO." All of the sudden he noticed Jim in the back with his empty pot, he ordered his Financial Director to bring Jim to the front. Jim is terrified because the CEO knows he was a failure and he is afraid that he might get fired!

When Jim get in front the CEO asked him what happen to his seed - and Jim told him the story. The CEO asked them to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim and then announced to his young executive. "Behold to your next Chief Executive Officer.

"His name is Jim." Jim can't believe he even can't grow his seed.

How can he be the next CEO? others said.

And the CEO said, a year ago today I gave one of you a seed. I told you to get the seed and plant, water it and bring it back today. But I gave you all a boiled seed, they are dead - and it is impossible for them to grow!

All of you, except Jim here brought me trees, plant, and flowers. When you found out that the seed won't grow, you substitute another seed for the one I gave you. Jim is the only one who has the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one to become the next Chief Executive Officer!

End of story.

The basic and important lesson as what they say is still the same that every country, community or flat form that is being build needs to have a good leader, who has the courage to take action with honesty.
