The Microlino - A reborn Isetta now with an electric drive - See my visit from IAA
What a cool new city car.
During my visit to IAA in Frankfurt, I saw this new electrical car which is on sale end of 2017 beginning of 2018.
Based on the concept of the good old Isetta.
See more details at their website.
The Iso Rivolta from 1954
The microcar Isetta was manufactured by Iso Rivolta in Bresso in Italy. The tiny car had this unique front entry door. His cute looking got him also the name „bubble car“.

The Isetta became more and more loved all around the world. Until 1962 over 217`000 cars where sold. But the production stopped in that year.
Microlino the reborn Isetta
Now 54 years later this old but still genius car concept is back and even better - it is now powered by a battery and an electric engine.
Enjoy some more details
During the IAA show I had the chance to do some more pictures from the Microlino. Most of the pics I edit a bit to clean up the background from to much colors.

Very nice car. With that its easy to park in the city. No parking problems anymore 😂😂
But this car (GT3 RS) will ever be my favourite car 😂😂
Oh. So cute!! My friend used to drive one of those. He was/is kind of a big guy. It was especially fun when he dressed up as Nikolaus and drove around in December. Kids loved it!!! Wonder if they are going to export to the US.
I guess they will sell worldwide
I can't wait to see one on the streets here!!
great nice info
They are cute and environmentally friendly
But to me it looks like a pregnant roller skate 😎
Pregnant roller skate that is a perfect name.....
LOl I thought so :)
Jeez that thing is tiny - I wouldn't want to be driving that on busy streets - could get run over by a cyclist or something!!
But you are not getting wet - as the cyclist get.
Would be perfect for my 20km day rides from home to office and back. And it looks so cool....
True that - I was mostly joking as it looks so small. Although I am not sure how secure I would feel next to e.g. an X5...
That is nice.
They let you sit in it?
I would love to have one for local commutes that didn't involve high speeds or stop-n-go congestion.
But I doubt they will be priced accordingly...especially as electric I bet they will be USD $15,000 or more.
yes, you were allowed to sit and get a feeling, but no driving at the IAA show.
Wow! How cool is that? :D
