Quick one- the media, bad news and positivity
So I get the need for media houses to spread news, but does it ever bother you that all you seem to hear on the news these days are terrible, bad occurrences and events?
I mean, in the last few days, all Iread online, hear on the TV, all I see is bad news everywhere..
O no, a man was just killed by a suicide bomber, attack on Nigeria as boko haram pushes forward etc etc.
Its annoying to say the least. But more than annoying, it is biilding up a generation that thinks and acts in fear of the next attack or dim situation.
Someone described the current system of information diffusion as being lopsided.
Whereas good things happen everyday, the amount of bad news that's spread around is disproportionate to what actually happens.
Bad news sells, good news is just that, good news...
Who cares if north and south korea just made history by having the Korean president visit the south?
A move that no north korean president has ever done for over 65years?
But lets put that aside, lets focus on positivity for a change, lets make those around us feel our impact.
I personally have done a poor job of doing that, im still trying to focus more on the positive things in my life.

A fulfilled life for me is one that can spread positive vibes to everyone around.
Inspite of the bad, there are lots of good tidings. Ultimately, good shall rule over bad. Just one day.

You've put it well sir. It's the reason why I sometimes don't bother checking the news. All they do is brew hatred and create an atmosphere of fear. How about some positivity for a change?
this should really call for a concern if the world most change then we really need to start thinking positive and spreading good news and hopes to the people.
is just so shocking this days how the world is so eager to propagated bad news than good.
Bad news sells bro, thats all there is to it, .....its a money making, wealth accumulating world out there.
That's why the current day bloggers specializes On bad news because it tends to brings more attention and sell better, it's psyche of people,
Some people feel it's normal that good things happen, the truth Is a few is actually sad it's happening

There seems to be an intentional spread of negative views into the society. They make us live, sleep, eatin fear.
But the good news is that we can choose to stay positive irrespective of what is happening around us. We can choose to stay positive and share positive vibes to those around us.

i think we should be blaming the media on this one, they now focus more on the money instead of the content, the juicy stories are always with the bad news.. :-(

This is something I have found troubling as well, @destinysaid.
In fact, when I was first old enough to comprehend negative news, it seemed like the world was near its end because there just seemed to be madness EVERYWHERE. It took a lot of convincing to ensure me the world's been upside down for a long time, and I was just starting to get the message.

Lol, but yeah, life is funny, these days I choose to focus on the positives rather than the negativity around, helps me sleep better st night.
The best way probably to handle all the negetives though, is to create your own little heaven, for those around you, kind of like a bubble of positivity.

A bubble is indeed the best way to go. I like to hope for the best and expect the worst. So I'm optimistic and all, but if it all goes to hell, I'm ready for the devil
