My Brother's New Home

Over the new year holiday my brother and his husband were moving from their home in Prescott Arizona to their new home in Rimrock Arizona. So my cousin and I decided to head out there and give them a hand moving into the new home. We drove out on the day of the move and we arrived as they were unloading the U-Haul truck. So we jumped right into it and helped them get everything unloaded. The next day they returned the U-Haul early in the morning. After that we got the full tour. It's an 8 acre property with a lovely creek, Wet Beaver creek, flowing across it. Their home sits on top of a hill giving nice views over the area and then one side drops down a cliff to the creek bed. On top there is lots of room for building and expanding and I can't wait to see what they do with it in the future and then down by the creek they have plenty of beautiful wild riparian habitat where they can experience nature right there in their own backyard! After the tour we had some lunch and then got back to work helping them get moved in. After a long day we spent the evening having a fun little housewarming party. The next day we spent the morning helping with some fix up projects and then we headed back over to Prescott for the rest of the day to visit both with my mom and her husband and my dad and his wife. After that we headed back to my brothers new house for one more night. New years eve. And at midnight we were blessed with a lovely fireworks show put on by a nearby casino. With the house being on top of the hill it gave us a really great view of the show. New years day we woke up and had breakfast together, but then unfortunately it was time to go and we had to make the long drive back home to California.

It was a great trip and I'm really looking forward to going back and seeing the progress they make improving the house and the property as well as getting to see the creek in all its different seasons!
