God’s love for human (UPVOTE THANKS)

The story of the prodigal son is a good representation of God’s love for human. From the parable, we understand the unending love of God for humanity, the love and forgiveness of God is revealed in the parable.

The parable of the prodigal son is a story told by Jesus--- in which a man had two sons, but the younger son said to his father; father give me the portion of goods that falls to me. So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and wasted his possessions with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land and he went through numerous hardships. But when he came to himself, he said; I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.

And the bible tells us that while he was still a great way far off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. The father also, said to his servant; bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf and kill it and let us rejoice and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive, he was lost and is found.

From this story, we understand that God is a merciful father and is ready at all times to welcome us back whenever we depart, for it is written “It is not the will of God that any man should perish but that all will come to repentance.” No matter what you have done in the past, if you can today come to Jesus, you will be forgiven and accepted.

It is important to know that Jesus Christ loves you and I, for while we were yet sinners Jesus died for us. It doesn’t matter your past, you can still be saved today, it doesn’t matter what you may have done in time past, you can still be today a beloved child of God..

But my dear friend, you must be willing to repent and come to Jesus. If you’ve backsliding, or you are now lukewarm, why not come back to Jesus today. Return back to your first love today, return back to the way of life as the prodigal son did….. always remember that God is willing and longing to see you come back to him.
If you’re yet to make Jesus Lord of your life, or you've backsliding or you have deviated from your first love, bow down your head and pray this prayer and mean it with all your heart.
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and unless you save me I am lost forever. I thank you for dying for me at Calvary. I come to you now, Lord the best way I know how, and ask you to save me. I now receive you as my Saviour. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen
