Take Some Time To Unplug In Autumn
Take Some Time To Unplug In Autumn
You might have seen some fun autumn activities I listed in another Steemit post. The post also had posters of fun things to do in autumn. The fun autumn activities were like going to a pumpkin patch, going to a play, walking through a corn maze, going on a hay ride, baking pies, making S'Mores, building a fort, creating a scarecrow, making an autumn wreath and many more fun autumn adventures.
One activity mentioned in an autumn activities poster is Unplug. Unplugging is doing something that is not associated with electronics like phones, computers, texting and email. Take some time away from electronics and go for a walk or do something with your kids. It may help you to be more creative if you try to develop a habit of unplugging on a regular basis. Add unplugging to your schedule. Set a special time every week when you are not going to be on the phone, texting or looking at a computer. Unplug.
So I saw this interesting article about unplugging for writers on the Writing And Wellness website at WritingAndWellness.com. The article mentions that writers will increase their creativity and concentration by unplugging and they will feel more in control of their lives. Unplugging may also help you to feel more rested and relaxed.
The article's title is What Happens to Writers When They Unplug and it was written by a woman named Colleen. The article also has a request at the end for writers to share thoughts about their unplugging experiences with their readers. This may be a fun autumn activity about a fun autumn activity. What do you think?

A National Day Of Unplugging is celebrated starting on the first Friday in March. One reason for the unplugging holiday is to help people to enjoy the things they are missing by using electronic devices so much. For twenty four hours participants will be unplugged from technology to relax, spend time with friends and family and be free from electronic devices. You can read about the national unplugging holiday at this Url: http://www.NationalDayofUnplugging.com/about-us/.
Barnes & Noble offers an unplugging journal Unplug Every Day: 365 Ways to Log Off and Live Better to help people unplug and be creative and free.
A description of the unplugging journal on the B & N website:
"This inspiring journal offers 365 achievable ways to take small breaks from technology with simple suggestions that encourage journalers to unplug from electronics and appreciate their surroundings. With a year's worth of digital-detox prompts, this chunky gift book also offers journaling space for readers to reflect on the power of unplugging."

My coffee machine is the only thing I won't unplug!!
You can leave your coffee machine plugged in for National Day Of Unplugging. That is about unplugging from technology. The same is true about other unplugging times. Enjoy your freedom, unplugging should help you to feel more free, not less free.
Did I tell you my coffee machine is enabled with the IoT? ;)
Is that the Polish airlines? Or a website that protects patents, the LotNetwork? The Lot restaurant or the Lot Radio?
Get tech jiggy man! IoT = the internet of things ;)
