Space Weather Daily Update for 4 January, 2018
Space Weather, Sea Floor Sinking?
The last 24 hours on the Earth Facing disc were quiet. No sunspots, no solar flares, nothing to report. The solar wind is very low and calm and that can be seen by the nearly flat readings on the Planetary K-index.
Earthquakes of note
- 4.4 magnitude earthquake near Berkeley, California, United States. Many snowflakes were triggered.
- 5.4 magnitude earthquake near Izu Islands, Japan
- 5.3 magnitude earthquake near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Russia

- Experts still looking into what caused Monday’s seismic events in Alberta. Fears of Mount St. Helen's erupting again.
Space objects
No new items to report about in the Near-Earth Object(NEO) database.

Ocean Bottom Deformation Due To Present-Day Mass Redistribution and Its Impact on Sea Level Observations. The sea level is going down because the sea floor is sinking. I tried to find it, but I remember an article that pointed out that The Great Lakes were also sinking, which made it seem like the water levels were dropping. Of course, climate change has caused The Great Lakes water levels to be abnormally low and abnormally high to the point that they are finally going back down in 2017 as opposed to dropping in 2014. Well, this paper is basically the same thing, giving excuses as to why things are going up and down and it's all man-made weather problems.

Man is supposed to be the maker of his destiny. It is only partly true. He can make his destiny, only in so far as he is allowed by the Great Power.

If you stop to think about it the whole idea of 'sea level' bogus. The earth may SEEM to be 'rock solid' to us..but it's not. The reality is that the earth is a YUGE molten gob...with a thin crunchy crust on top...the earth is spinning like a gyroscope...and wobbling (due to sciency things).
If you've ever had the 'pleasure' of watching a fat lady jog down the street...you kinda get the idea of what the 'skin' of the earth is doing...on a much grander scale.
Whelp...the ocean is just sitting there...like sweat on that gal jogging...
it's gonna be affected as well.
Ugh...the imagery. Stop it, Everitt!! Please stop!
