How I Spent $100 Dollars At A Few Thrift Stores And Made Over $3000 On Etsy

in #life7 years ago

This is how I spent $100 dollars at about 5 different thrift stores and turned it into over a whopping $3167 profit on Etsy. If you are going to do this you need to become aware of what's hot, market trends, check eBay completed auctions and try to check on www.collectorsweekly.com almost every day. They show you whats hot, completed auctions and current high bids. I like vintage and the MCM era but look for items that are going to make you money. Go to collectable stores and antique malls and look at prices and try to familiarize yourself with maybe 10-20 items that you keep seeing that are commanding big bucks. You also need to find out what time your thrift stores restock the shelves and always check-in every day. You never know when the next big treasure may show up. This was a home run day, but I never realized it till well after I got home. The research was worth every penny. Take awesome pictures, lots of light, do detailed descriptions and always include measurements. Set your shipping prices and price competitively and you are good to go. All of these items were sold on Etsy.

I have had many good days from thrifting, yard sales and estate sales. Anyone can have a good day but you have to work consistintaly and keep educating yourself to have a great day. This is a wonderful business and can be loads of fun, especailly when you love what you do and have a home run day like this one. Wishing everyone the best and happy hunting. :)

Wow! That is fantastic! Have you tried Open Bazaar? You get paid in bitcoin and buyers can use over 50 different cryptos. I recently restarted on eBay again. :)

Thanks so much!! I have never heard of Open bazaar, but will check it out. Yeah still love eBay and Etsy. Both great for collectables and rarities.

Not a bad day's work!

Thanks some days are tough but a great day like this keeps you going. :) Cheers
