My Cryptocurrency Regret and Lesson

Japan's GMO Internet Group Will Pay Thousands of Workers in Bitcoin

Over the past years, I’ve been working hard in order to get the promotion I’ve been waiting for. Being a bread winner of the family, promotions is my only way to get higher pay grade, which I think would be enough to support my family without working abroad (which is most Filipino think as a remedy to suffice their needs and at the same time support our family).

I came across with a friend five years ago and invite me to get a life insurance (which he said, I will need when unexpected happen to me), But I declined, as I see it as another cut to my salary and another responsibility every month to pay its premium.

Then times counts…

Last three years, another friend invited to join a Multi-Level-Marketing or commonly known as networking. They show me picture of their uplines owning a sports cars and a 6-digit check, which he said, can be achieved for only over a months... hmmnn.. Interesting right? So I joined in, investing Php15, 000 (USD300) then I get products amounting to Php20, 000, I guess it’s a win-win. But months and months and years passed by, I did not get the promised, I even spent time inviting other people, attending events. Over a year, I received my highest check as my income, amounting to Php500.00 (USD10). I can’t even purchase a car cover for supposed to be a Lambo. So then, I think I wasted my time and money.

Two years ago,

My colleague, introduce me to BITCOINS, she said, I just need to invest any amount of money with at least minimum of Php1, 000 (USD20), then sleep on it, that I don’t have to do anything at all. Just wait for the couple of months, and my money will grow, double, triple or even times ten. Hmmn… Too good to be true, having a bad experience with networking and promises, I doubted it. Thinking that this is another promises to expect and a waste of money that I can support with my family. So I declined.

Time comes to present…

Two weeks ago, I came across again with BITCOINS, this I read about it everywhere, on Facebook, on Google. I read blogs, I read comments. Then I said why not, I installed Coins.ph as my wallet, cashed-in Php3,000(USD60) (since I already got my 13th month pay plus bonus, I have an extra). After that, I checked on it literally every minute, every hour. BTC go ups and down, until last week where BTC climbed up to USD20, 000 apiece. I came to think and go back to the past, Why didn’t I invested, why didn’t I trust my colleagues, Why didn’t I cashed-in Php1000, which in fact I lost Php15000 before, I should have the sports car that was promises to me right now, I should have more that 3-digits check right now. But I said to myself, it’s not yet too late, reading blogs, Facebook pages, Steemit blogs, Google, it’s not yet too late, I just have to work on this out, Either HODLing or Trading.

What I learned from my own story is to never be afraid to take risks, We never know, as long as we can manage, like in investing, invest only the amount that we are afford to lose. Like EMINEM said on one of his songs, “Opportunity comes once in a lifetime” so don’t lose it.

For all the newbies in cryptocurrency, WE are not late, we still can cope up, and WE are just premature before. NOW, we still have time.

As more countries are now investing and using BTC with their daily living, we can still soar up together with WHALES.
