Don't Ever Let Anyone Talk You Out of Your Dreams - 300 Words of Wisdom
We come in this world with only 2 things. There's no instruction manual for any of the things we will go thorough. Nor is there a course to help us figure any of this out.
We only have luck and our dreams.
If we're lucky and we make it through childhood not completely screwed up, and actually get through our teens not completely screwed up, we begin to see that the only thing real is what we convince ourselves of. In other words everyone's pretty much making stuff up as they go along.
Sure adults, parents and even politicians speak in certainties. They have to. If you go into the church, temple, synagogue or mosque, you'll see someone standing in the front who's telling you exactly the way that it is. But if you ask him to prove it, he'll chastise you for not having faith.
Faith is wonderful. love is built on faith. But let's call a thing what it is. if you were telling me that I have to have faith in something, then you are not telling me what you know, only what you hope that I accept.
So here we all are. In this scary-ass life. Trying to make it through and at the same time, trying to make a moment's difference in the short time that we have. What do we actually have? Only a short moment to shine.
This is where your dreams come in. They're the only chance you have to shine. They represent your singular opportunity to put a hook on the wall of time so that a picture of you can be hung there. And maybe others will go by and see that picture and stop for just a second and think, good job.
Yes this is where your dreams come in. And without your dreams you have next to nothing.
So never let anyone talk you out of your dreams. Never let anyone take away the one thing that has value. Never let anyone snatch that which is totally yours and that does not need an instruction manual to figure out.
Keep dreaming because luck runs out.
