Handling A Fallen Limb

"The tree limb fell down," my mom says on a voice message. Mom offered me some money to handle it. Well, I do like odd jobs. So I bring my pickup and electric chain saw. As I was about the do some work the thought came to me, Can this be a story? Would anybody even care about handling a fallen limb? So I pull out my flip phone and take some pictures. So now you are saying, Flip phone? Hey, I don't move with technology that well. The tree limb sure has fallen. How would you handle it?

Yes, the limb is on the lawn and something has to be done or the next time I mow mom's lawn there will be problems.

With a pruning shears that mom did have, I started cutting off the smaller stuff.

I put the smaller twigs and leaves in the yard waste container.

Now I pull out my WORX WG303.1 16-Inch 14.5 Amp Electric Chainsaw with Auto-Tension, Chain Brake, and Automatic Oiling. I figured with a name like WORX it should work. I got this chainsaw from Amazon.com. It was a like new, used item. Well, cause I like to save money. About $90 new or $50 like new, but used. Plus I had to put it together and no owners manual. So to put it together I was downloading the manual and watching every Youtube video about the WORX 303.1. I finally figured it out. Ok, back to the tree.

From the outer part of the limb I used the pruning shears to cut into pieces until I couldn't use the pruning shears anymore. That is when I used the electric chainsaw, cutting from the outside going inward. This way the trunk is holding the limb in place as I cut in fireplace wood size.

Now time for final clean up. I put the wood into my truck as mom doesn't have a fireplace. This wood should be good for 2019 to warm my home.

Now mom is happy that she doesn't have to worry about the fallen limb anymore. And if mom is happy then everything must be somewhat OK.
