Sometimes I just feel like I want to have a cup of hot chocolate. I like to make my hot chocolate rich. I will add both butter and coconut oil to my hot chocolate.

Did you know that some people are adding butter to their coffee? I have done that before. These people are reporting to have a steady level of energy.

This is opposed to adding sugar to the coffee then feeling the high when consumed then afterward they feel the sugar crash after that high.

So having a level form of energy by increasing the good fats and lowering the sugars is worth looking into. I am starting to look into the value of increasing the good fats. Of course opinion of what is a good fat seemed to change since I was a kid.

We do have to look at saturated fats again. If people were eating saturated fats a couple of hundred years ago and did not have the heart disease that they have to day, then we need to look at the situation again.

I think it is the processed grains and breads and sugars that are the problem. Since these foods will store in the body as fat.

It seems that the eating of more of the good fats with at the same time lowering the grains, breads and sugars, that will cause one to burn fat.

The other saturated fat that I like adding to my hot chocolate is coconut oil. Did you know that coconut oil is a medium chain fatty acid? It is good for brain health.

I seen a video of a doctor that wanted to help her husband who had Alzheimer's with memory loss. She wanted to look into something more natural to help him. She looked into using coconut oil to help in memory loss.

Well she started to add coconut oil into her husbands diet. I think it was about 3 table spoons of coconut oil a day to his diet. Well to her surprise her husband started to remember things more effectively. The difference was like night and day.

In my hot chocolate I also add in a good amount of Himalayan salt. This is a pink colored salt. I like it that is has a multitude of minerals. Of course our bodies need these minerals to work more efficiently.

You know when most people have a chocolate craving, what is really happening is those people are craving the magnesium in the chocolate.

Magnesium benefits the body in that it aids in bone health and also it has to do with 300 enzymatic reactions within the body. Sounds like a very important mineral for our bodies.

Now that was all the technical stuff. What I really like is the taste of my hot chocolate. Wouldn't a cup of this hot chocolate be a good start in the morning?
