A Gratitude Wallet that made my life awesome.

in #life7 years ago

It was given to me by my childhood friend who’s now traveling the world. It’s not just a normal wallet because it has a sentimental value.

By the time I received that wallet, I honestly did treasure it. My mom used to tell me that if you were given a wallet as a gift, you should really take care of it because it’s undoubtedly lucky.

My Gratitude Wallet.

Since I know the secret and I’m a very positive man (Click the link “How I became a positive man”), I called it my gratitude wallet. Every time I open my wallet I’m thinking of something that I am grateful for. At a store, I open my wallet and there it is again, it makes me feel great. As you can see in the picture it’s full of money, it’s because that wallet never experience emptiness. It’s not in good condition because the money inside it is always bulked. You probably wanna ask me this now “Where does the money came from?” Well, I am a freelancer and if you’re a freelancer you know how hard it is to get a client. Also, there’s no guarantee that your client will pay you, this is a big risk but with my 3 years experience I only got scammed once. Some people quit their job just to become a freelancer, well guess what, it’s not that easy becoming a freelancer, yes there’s tons of benefits of it but you must be really disciplined. Especially on my part, by that time I was a 2nd year college student and the jobs that I could offer to my clients are “Social Media Manager/Marketing, Web Developer (PHP and Wordpress), Data Entries, and more”. I have tons of experience at this very young age. Some of my friends really admire me, its because I inspire, teach and share them how I can earn this much. I’m not greedy when it comes to knowledge. If I learn something new, I share it. I’ll make an article about my freelance life soon.

I’m too young to earn this much, I can afford to eat at any 5 star restaurant, buy the things I want, I am enjoying my life to the fullest.

Realization

Now I am not writing this story to show off, last summer my wallet was stolen from me and the problem is that I didn’t made an effort to go look for it. Last week, while I was alone and listening to a relaxing music, I tried to look back and I realized something. Everything has changed starting the day I lost my wallet. I became a party goer, every weekend I spend my time at the bar with my friends, and I was too busy enjoying my life and didn’t noticed that I’m losing clients and funds. Last 4 months I lost all of my source of income and now I’m completely broke. I tried to focus on my studies since I have plenty of time now because I stopped freelancing and I’m a graduating student but its really different. I don’t like studying, I just go to school to meet up with my friends.
Even though it was stolen from me, I felt really bad, it’s like I have abandoned my wallet, my partner, and my treasure. I didn’t notice earlier how much it helped me. Until now I don’t have a wallet, I just put all my money in my pocket. I realized and learned a lot from this experience.

Lesson learned

Treasure every thing that you currently have, even though they’re just materials, doesn’t matter if it’s cheap or expensive. They are still part of your life, part of your success. Never abandon them, never ever dismiss them from your mind, history, life and heart.

By the way I’m still broke hahaha! So if you need a mobile, web developer, social media manager/marketing, and graphic designer contact me ;)
