Chuck Schumer and the Democrats want more school children killed, in pursuit of their political motives and agenda

Truthful. Unfortunately yes. Very sad state of affairs.
“The elites don’t care not one whit about America’s school system and school children,” Wayne LaPierre of the NRA told an audience in Washington.
Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer condemned LaPierre’s comments and said the NRA was “once again spewing pathetic, out of touch ideas, blaming everything but guns.”
What is the one idea that is guaranteed at this moment, to result in no progress and no change to the status quo?
Guaranteed to fail in 2018: try to use the latest school shooting incident in Florida to curtail gun rights.
There is no political path at this time to making major changes to existing federal laws, to further curtail existing gun rights.
If you insist on pushing down a path that YOU KNOW IS GUARANTEED TO FAIL, then the only rational conclusion is you WANT FAILURE and you don't want the status quo to change.
What are some positive changes that would be possible in the current political environment?
1 - focus on improving the mental health treatment system.
This has been an obvious need for some time. Current political environment would support additional actions to address at least some of the current holes and issues with how mental health is handled in the US.
2 - focus on hardening schools.
Make it harder for strangers and outside dangers to enter into the school environment. Current political environment would support actions being taken that would harden schools.
3 - focus on improving GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILTY for government failures.
Why do we see so few people in government ever fired? Why does the US accept such a poor level of government performance and results for so many government run programs and initiatives? Why don't we have a policy that allows the Sheriff of Broward County to be found civilly liable for incompetence and his many failures. Why isn't the FBI being held accountable for their failures that let this school shooting happen. Accountable means we know the names of people who failed in their job assignment inside the FBI, and those people can be held civilly liable for cases of incompetence, negligence, intentional dereliction of duty, etc.
There are many positive actions that could be taken, on a bipartisan basis by politicians in the US, that would have positive impacts on reducing the chances for the next school shooting.
BUT Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are refusing to discuss or support any potential changes that could result in reducing the chances of the next school shooting.
They are focused on trying to curtail gun rights. They are focused on trying to shut down the NRA.
CURTAILING GUN RIGHTS AS THE DEMOCRATS AND CHUCK SCHUMER ARE FOCUSED ON, IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN IN 2018.
They know it. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it.
Definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
The only possible conclusion I can get to when you look at this set of facts:
a) Chuck Schumer and the entire Democratic party are insane, OR
b) CHUCK SCHUMER AND THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY WANT TO SEE MORE SCHOOL CHILDREN KILLED. MORE DEAD SCHOOL CHILDREN WILL FURTHER THEIR POLITICAL AGENDA.
If you are a rational voting member of the US public, you should be absolutely furious that Chuck Schumer and Democrats are putting politics ahead of the lives of school children. They are putting politics ahead of the lives of your children. Of your grandchildren. Of your communities and neighbors children and grandchildren.
Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are avoiding taking politically viable actions that would decrease the chances of the next school shooting.
These hard leftists, socialists, that are more interested in their political power than school children lives, should be universally shunned and shamed.

I think the libs deserve 50-99% of the blame. Republicans did help put some failed policies in place though. We need to start phasing out the failed welfare programs.
Lot of duplicated and failed government programs need to be phased out. Overall I am not impressed with how hard Trump has pushed to cut back and shut down failing government programs. He could do a lot more. He is moving in the right direction and facing continuous opposition. But Im not letting him off with lowered expectations.
He needs to step up his game. Get rid of a lot more liberal critters out of swamp, faster, sooner.
Overall I'd be pretty happy with Trump but I don't think we can afford to expand our military since we are going bankrupt.
Gun control did not work here in Australia in any way that matters. If you look at the TOTAL (not firearm) homicide rate graph you can see that it had no effect on the already existing downward trend of murders. It has reduced "firearms massacres" but It has NOT reduced massacres, in the 20 years after the ban we have had 2 massacres killing more than 10 people here, and in the 20 years before the ban we had 2 massacres killing more than 10 people. The tool has changed, but the death toll has not. The media keeps repeating "Since Australia gun ban there has been no massacres". This is pure BS, a 5 second google search shows that there has been 8. Sometimes they say there has been no mass shootings, but this is also wrong, there has been 1. This in a country of 20 million, less than 1/10 of America. America DOES have a murder rate problem, it is 5x higher there than here in Australia, but globally there is no correlation between firearms laws and murder rate. Anyway, thats my 2c.
The public school system as it currently exist is too dangerous .
Kids that go to public schools are not only in grave physical danger but they are exposed to other types of dangers...like drugs, gangs, and being bullied.
Teachers are powerless to stop it..curtailed by federal law.
The public school system as it now exists should be dismantled.
