Almighty Trees...

This is an ancient lime-tree in the source of Tajo river in Spain (this river flows down to Lisbon) I love nature and trees as a symbol of wisdom. Trees have played important roles in mankind history. Particularly this tree in central Europe is mean to bring good luck to couples before getting married.
Also is interesting to know that it´s leaves are edible...
This tree in particular accounts for about 400-500 years of age. Whereas some olive trees in Spain that were planted by the Roman Emipire (no later than 400 aC) are still alive and producing olives...that accounts for over 1.600 years!
So yes, our lifetime is meaningless compared to this prodigy of nature. Let´s respect our enviroment people, we have lots to learn from nature...if trees could talk!
