Trekking in Puritama

Today we visited the protected nature reserve of Puritama to visit the stunning thermal hot springs which sit at the top of the river. But first, we had to trek to reach it.

In the local language "Puri" means water and "tama" means warms which was very appropriate. The first thing we saw was the dry riverbed that cuts through the landscape. We walked all the way along to reach the hot springs.
