The Ash Covered Mountain
We took a trek today high up into the mountains today and came across this really remote shack that had no access from the roads. These people are farmers with sheep, goats, and livestock.
In 2010 there was a huge volcanic eruption in Chile and the ash plume travelled across the Andes into Argentina. This ash was dumped on this mountain side in Bariloche. The ash suffocated the grass and a lot of farmers lost all their wealth because their animals didn't survive.
Even now the ash is still here. As we trekked through the mountains (bearing in mind this is almost ten years after the volcanic eruption) we were up to our ankles in ash residue.
At the top of the mountain we found a little cave with an incredible look out over the Andes mountain range.
Excellent post my friend keep up the good work 👏
Adventurous to be there. Lovely view. And among four pics the 2nd one is my favorite. It's awesome.
