On 28 June 2009, as a tongue-in-cheek test to see if time travel is possible, Stephen Hawking held a free party open to all, complete with luxurious food and iced champagne, but only publicised the party after it was over so that only time-travellers would know to attend; sadly, nobody showed up to the party.
