For Onos
but what I saw made my heart bleed,
I scrolled down, desperate to see it was all a dream,
but reality came hitting hard, it was real,
@onos is gone,
to a place, we all will eventually go,
he was a bright lad, his name was Bright,
shit....my tenses will now have to be in the past, right?
he had this flare, a certain type of glow,
that he takes with him everywhere he goes,
I wish we had met
it was so easy for us to connect,
Death! Why couldn't you pick on someone your own size,
why did you have to take him away this time,
he still had many unfinished dreams, couldn't you have wait a longer while,
he was the reason for many smile,
My body shuts down, when I think of his family,
how sad they will feel to lose a guy like him,
the Nigerian steemit community has lost a rare gem,
the one who calms us down with his savage cheer,
now all we have are wishes,
if only we knew, our words would have made death had a mind switch,
but we are only humans,
we can't go back in time, not even in wishes,
We just have to accept the reality that you are no more,
and give our heart and soul the time to mourn,
thank you for the lessons you've taught us,
even the ones your death has shown us.
Yesterday was a sad night for the Nigerian steemit community, we lost a steemain, and the craziest is that he died of malaria.....and I'm like how's that even possible, its the 21st century, people shouldn't be dying to disease like that.
The Nigerian steemit community is raising funds to give to his family, if you want to be part of it, send your donations to @welfare-ng or contact @ewuoso who is his close friend.
P.S: This post's payout will be sent to @welfare-ng towards the fund raising.
