8 March International Women's Day.
The 8th of March is known throughout the world as the international feast of the woman. March is the first month of spring, the month in which nature returns, and the rays of the sun begin to warm our souls. If the event matches that time of year, a new beginning, its meanings are linked to the struggle of women for acquiring rights, mingling later with a celebration of mothers in the former Soviet bloc countries.

Women's Day was recognized as an international celebration in 1977, becoming a tradition in most countries in Europe and the SUA.

8 March is an official holiday in countries like Afghanistan, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, China, Croatia, Cuba, Georgia, Guinea, Eritrea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macedonia, Madagascar, Moldova, Mongolia , Montenegro, Nepal, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zambia, but it is also celebrated in other countries, such as Chile, Serbia or Bulgaria.

The International Women's Day in the West symbolizes women's empowerment, being set up to promote their rights and equality with men. On the other hand, the feast is perceived as a communist heritage in Eastern Europe.

In the Baltic countries, on 8 March, more emphasis is placed on Mother's Day, a celebration marked by offering gifts and flowers to them.

The political connotation in Russia has disappeared and the March 8 congratulations are being offered to women across the country.

In Italy, March 8, meetings are held on the assertion of women's rights, their safety in the workplace, health.

In Portugal and beyond, women celebrate the evening of March 8 in the city, in groups formed only by women.

The women of Pakistan celebrate each year, on March 8th, their battles for women's rights and the cultural or religious trials that they have overcome.

On 8 March, the International Women's Day is celebrated (in some countries being declared by law free day) in the following countries: Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, Denmark, Eritrea, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Guinea-Bissau, Malta, Mexico, Republic of Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Nepal, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zambia. In China, women have the free afternoon of March 8.

On this day, it is customary for men to give flowers and small gifts to women in their lives - wives, lovers, mothers, daughters and colleagues. In Romania and Bulgaria, the customs before the fall of Communism were preserved, when, on 8 March, on Mother's Day, the children made gifts to their mothers, grandparents, teachers and teachers.
