Every human has one area or the other we are exposed to. This area of exposure determines our emotional and psychological stand, it has a lot of say on how we reason, how we see things.

This exposure is the level of enlightenment we have, the education we get.
Not just formal education, but what and how we learn from our immediate environment.

Life is a school, we are all students of life learning everyday. The more you learn, the more you grow in wisdom. When you refuse yo learn, you will always be a pauper in life.
You need to be observant, be attentive, and learn. All these is possible only when you surround yourselves with the right people; your association.

You might have the highest education you can, but without exposure to life beyond school walls, you will still remain a slave to life.
You may not have the opportunity to have the formal education others have, but you can still be educated, knowledgeable, wise based on your exposure.

Many have exposed their lives to social vices, material things and have neglected exposing their minds to what will advance their lives.

There are things you should be exposed to, to increase your knowledge; I will list them;

Friends
You have to pick the right set of friends in your life, the type of friends you associate with determines your life, they will determine your type of communication, they determine the way you make decisions. They are a very important factors to your life.

Books
You might get the formal education, and read academic books, but there is more to life than reading academic books. You need to acquire more information about life from the outside walls of your academic environment. The information you acquire is the foundation in which your knowledge is built. The power to be successful in life lies in the knowledge you are able to acquire from life.

What You Pay Attention To
The programs you listen to, things you pay attention to has a great impact on way of reasoning. It's unfortunate that this days we spend most our time with TV watching movies, with our gadgets engaging in different activities that would not add value to our lives. We spend a lot in changing materials and gadgets, adding more to our liabilities and not thinking of turning the liabilities into assets. Until we start paying more attention to the important things of life and spend time on things that would add value to our lives, we cant make a difference, we can't achieve success.

You see men who do more strenuous works, the dirty parts of the works in an organization and do more but paid less. While we complain of those seated in high positions doing less and paid more. It's because those who do less and are paid less have worked in times past, they have exposed themselves to things that added more value to their lives. But those who get paid less do the major part of the labour and get less paid because there exposure is low. They don't have the knowledge those in positions have, not only because of formal education, but also because of what they've exposed themselves to, friends, books, life lessons and others.

One may not have opportunity to be employed in a company, but with the right mindset you can be creative and make enough beyond those working in companies with the right exposure.
