Youth Forum: How to cope with occasional sadness

The days I feel sad I stay in my room. If they invite me to leave, I invent some excuse not to go. Apparently dissimulating well ... my family does not realize how bad I feel ...

That is the way in which some teenagers deal with their feelings of sadness.

It is not unusual for it to happen from time to time ... it all happens to us. Sometimes it is possible that even he or she does not know why he feels this way.

Here are some suggestions for dealing with feelings of sadness:

1.- Talk to someone: after telling someone how you feel you will feel an incredible relief. Your parents or a mature adult friend are good ears.

  1. Write what you feel: by putting your thoughts and emotions in writing, you may be able to understand why you feel this way

3.- Do not isolate yourself: however difficult it may be, leave your room and look for ways to help others. You will feel much better.
