Cygon 100th Post Spectacular!!!

I was going to wait until tomorrow morning to make my brag post, but I'm home now with some free time so why wait?

Phase 1 of Epic 2018 is now complete, I took my GRE today and got a 164 on the verbal and 161 on the quantitative section. Slightly disappointed with my quant score but both are more than enough to get into the graduate program I'm applying to! I'll take it though for both not having used that kind of math for 8 years and really only doing serious study for a week. I guess this won't be the wake up call I need to fix my generally bad study habits =P. It's actually one of my biggest character flaws, I've always been able to just kind of coast on raw intelligence. It's a nice problem to have but it definitely smacks me in the face sometimes when having to actually sit-down and put in the hard work and study is necessary. Hopefully now that I'm older and more cognizant of it I can really try to improve on that. A that's a big step I need to take in breaking out of my comfort zone on things.

Aside from that I've been on Steem for about three weeks now and I'm really enjoying the platform. I've met some decent people in the minnow support chat room and I'm loving community and the ideas of this place still. I definitely see some kinks for Steem to workout so that it can really thrive when it goes mainstream, but I am definitely going to start pushing more and more people I know on to it. Why should Mark Zuckerberg get all the value that we create on social media?

The first two weeks of 2018 aren't even done yet and it's already exceeding expectations. Hopefully this will continue and everyone here enjoys the ride as much as I'm sure I will. Take care out there and let's all work together to make this year live up to all of its potential!
