[ What is meditation? ]

Meditation has been practiced since a long time, but what is the true nature of it? Scientific experiments have been carried out to prove its effectiveness, and they showed diversity of results, but everyone agrees that the practice of meditation is something positive, it leads the mind to a state that seems fundamental.

To meditate is simply to focus your attention on what is happening around, on this state our daily ideas, thoughts, feelings become more clear as they reaches us naturally. To meditate is to watch your breath, the sound of nothing, the sound of birds, the habits of our mind and its questions become more clear too. What is to know something?
According to Mason and Hargreaves (2001) in his article 'A qualitative study of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for depression':

"At the emotional-cognitive level, benefits of relaxation and the development of meditation skills have been recorded when a substitution process is achieved Of consciousness over the present moment instead of recurrent negative intrusive thoughts in depression, stress or anxiety. "

Well I wasn't really attracted by meditation but I had hard time in my life. I tried meditation and yoga it helped me greatly.

Meditation should not be an option but obligatory if you want to attain your highest potential. Micromeditation - now that's a new word for me. :-) Upvoted.

Great post and really interesting to hear about the history behind it and what it really does to us. Or for us 😊 is more right cause it helps.
I have never been a meditator or yoga person but I started on yin yoga and I couldn't believe how relaxed I felt 🤗 like all stress just lifted so I belive it is good for us if we just find our own thing 😊
