Survey: Is the Glass Half Empty or Full? 2 SBD Giveaway

in #life7 years ago (edited)

On a down-day in the crypto market, and a full on decline in the market from more than $800 billion to $400 billion, surely many HOLDers are having a mix of emotions.

Moments like these have us reflecting both externally but internally on our own behavior, and including our in-the-moment decisions to either (1) staying the course on our current crypto strategy, or (2) changing up the strategy. Some of us are optimistic of a rebound, some may even see a buying opportunity, while others are running for the exit in anticipation of further declines. In short, a mix of various optimism or pessimism.

So, for fun, I will ask the time-old question, Is the Glass Half Empty or Full?

Feel free to share your answer, philosophical or specifically related to crypto.

I am going to go first (non-crypto answer):

Whether the glass is half empty or half full is largely dependent on situation. If I am pouring water into a cup, the glass is half full as it is being filled. If I am pouring water out of a cup, or it is leaking or evaporating, the glass is half empty as I am emptying the glass. Maybe this is a literal answer, but it also speaks to the idea that personal initiative (through constructive behavior) can drive outcomes in life.

I would argue that the glass is half full based on the fact that a lot of cryptocurrency investors began the party with a glass that was only a tenth full.

I should graph everyone's responses relative to the market cap at the time of the response. Some replied the glass is half empty on the down days (when I posted this article I recall the market cap was probably sub $500B).

It would certainly be interesting.

The glass is half empty....in the sense that crypocurrency is basically dropping....but will rise in due time

You have the most votes, congrats.

The glass is half full. This is based on an optimistic approach to the situation, viewing a better future for the crypto market.

Like every other thing in life, it's all a matter of mindset, it all depends on what you think it is. So if you say the glass is half empty, you are right, it just shows that you are a pessimist, and you only see the negative sides of things, and if you should say the glass is half full, then rhat makes you an optimist. Half full or half empty all depends on how you view things in life in general. So if you are a pessimist, you will see a half full glass and you will be seeing a half empty glass if you are an optimist. But for me, what I see is a half full glass.

the Glass is Half Empty. Cryptoholders lost a half. But we can fill the glass more!

It is half full as for cryptocurrency is concern.

This half full, we should only place ourselves on the positive side, a serious advice maybe change the strategy but never letting yourself be carried away by first impressions you have to self-manage. Once you generate the first positive thought and accept it as a guide, it will lead you irremediably to another area.

The other half flew or evaporated
