It seems odd that I am greeting you in this month of the year but the real new year that we are celebrating in my Church (mcgi.org) is in the 1st of Nisan 5779 of the Hebrew Calendar which falls in the 5th of April. So in the fifth of April there will be a double celebration in my church.
It is because it will be a three day event of the international Thanksgiving of the members of church of God International (mcgi) which focuses on offering songs of thanks giving by the whole congregation lead by Bro Eli Soriano. There will be prayers, song of hymns, songs of praises by groups in the church and individuals as well.
There will be consultations regarding problems of members and guests visiting as well. There is also a quarterly report on church finances and where it had gone and also in this quarterly thanksgiving there will be forgiving and acceptance for those that had been suspended for certain violations regarding the doctrines of God.

Happy New Year brother, the Hebrew Calendar is quite intricate, as there are a number of New Years depending on which format is used, Rosh Hashanah is another.
Happy New Year @prime-cleric I am not very familiar about the Hebrew Calendar but I think it is the first day of the first month of the year in Hebrew Calendar we are following in mcgi.org for our New Year.
