What People Can Learn From Centipedes -- A Venomous & Predator Species Yet The Greatest Survivors ?

CENTIPEDES !! Everyone must know about them. They are normally referred as 100-legged creatures. But it's not at all true. They don't have 100-legs. Instead they can have more than 100 legs or may less, as per their body to mass ratio. So, what are centipedes?

Centipedes are the arthropods which belongs to the class Chilopada. The largest of Centipede can be of 10-inch length and they can be as small as 1 cm. Centipedes are some extra-ordinary creatures. Although they are not always the famous one, but still they are huge in their own potential. They are poisonous vertebrates though there has not been any news of human death from Centipedes. 

So, How do they hunt their prey?

Centipedes are generally the hunters, they are not scavengers. They only hunt and eat. This quality may be considered a little selfish, but still they follows this theory of ''Every man for himself" very well. They generally preys upon insects, lizards, spiders and even other centipedes. The larger centipedes prey upon frogs, small birds and small water animals. They use their venomous legs to inject their venom into their prey's bodies and until they become dead from the poison, they wait by holding their prey into their legs. Then they consume their prey slowly. 

Now what lesson they can teach to the humans?

Well, there are many lesson for them to teach humanity like caring for other centipedes, master strategist, patience but there is one quality which I find highly influential is -- They prey for themselves. No other centipedes share their prey with other centipedes. They use all their skills while they go for the hunt and they work hard, use patience, use tactics wisely to hunt their preys. Although, I find this quality is little selfish, but this is what made them self dependent and highly adaptable.

Likewise, humans can also learn this skill from centipedes. ''Every man for himself''-- a great theory, although have many downsides, but still it is much empowering. I know there's power in team work and all this stuff. But at the end, we all fight for ourselves. This is the quality which makes us strong, independent, self-sustainable and adaptable. This is the quality which makes us spinning during hard times. This is the quality which teach us How to live in this unfair and cruel World.

Centipedes are great, they fight for their survival and their needs. They don't depend on others and if they will, they would probably die anyway. Depending on others makes us weak. It makes us vulnerable to his choices, his decisions and his views. We have different views on life, different choices to make and we can do so when we can learn to fight for ourselves. Kindness and sharing is good, but when it comes to survival - ''Every man for himself'' thing comes first in our minds. So, we need to learn this. We need to learn fulfill our own wishes. We need to learn to be selfish as per the consequences. Life is unfair for a reason, if comes to it we all have to make a choice. 

I am not saying to become heartless, but yeah a little selfishness can come handy when you face with the survivalibility and some hard choices to make in your life. SO make yourself ready for those situations. 

Be strong like Centipedes and learn to adapt like them. Fight for your goals and be selfish when it comes to survival.
