"for

“‘In him we live and move and have our being’;
as even some of your own poets have said,

“‘For we are indeed his offspring.’"

- Acts 17:28

I would be interested in hearing more about your notion of the heavens (beyond a certain distance) being "of old."

😄😇😄

I'm convinced that the testimony of the Scriptures is that the rest of the universe, apart from our galaxy, already existed at the time of creation. And, that the beginning mentioned in Genesis refers to the origin of our galaxy, and not the entire universe.

Interesting... This of course leads me to other follow-up questions, about which I am genuinely curious.

When was the rest of the universe created?
Is it different in its physical nature to our galaxy and its contents?
You've shared a little of your scriptural basis for this idea... Are there other scriptures that support your thoughts on this?

Feel free to defer these questions to a follow up post if you like! ;) And, Thank you. :D

The Bible doesn't say when the rest of the universe was brought into existence. It also doesn't say anything about its nature. This doesn't surprise me considering that the earth is the focal point of the controversy the Bible bears witness to. My follow up posts are going to focus on our solar system, and it's place in our galaxy.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to reading them. ;)
