Gorgeous! Drove through Montana on the way to Canada not long ago but I need to head back and explore. Eastern part of the state was nothing but vast prairie and blue sky (and several dirt roads Google seemed to think were highways. )
Yes eastern part of the state is not as beautiful. The town I live in is what I like to call vacation land and is stunningly gorgeous. Never follow google when traveling in Montana. The best scenario is a wild goose chase but the worst case can be very dangerous especially in bad weather.
