Scary -- are you affected by the Mandela effect?!?
I found out about the Mandela effect and it really scared me at first, but the more I think about it the more I now think it's cool.
Mandela effect comes from when a few people swore that Nelson Mandela died in the 80's. They have full memories of the event and everything surrounding it and find it hard to believe that he died in 2013.
Now more and more people are finding their memories don't match up with reality. History is different from what they remember. Groups of people have the same different memories whilst the majority have memories that fit with current history.
There are small things like in the James Bond film Moonraker. Jaws meets a blond girl, he smiles at her and shows her his metal teeth, she smiles back and shows she has heavily metal braced teeth and they instantly fall in love. This is the memory I have of the film - do you agree with me? - This is WRONG! If you watch the film she doesn't have braces now, just a perfect smile. So it doesn't make too much sense why they fall in love?
There are also big things like people remembering a large land mass west of Australia but if you check any map there isn't anything there now? If you google for images of Mandela effect there's a blurry photo from a film where the globe in the film has a large land mass West of Australia?!? Also other parts of the globe look wrong to some people, like the location of South America, now further to the right then they remember it.
I'm not Cristian or religious but a lot of people have said the bible has been altered, like, even I vaguely remember, it said something about the lion laying with the lamb but now if you read it it says the wolf laying with the lamb. There were loads of other examples of the bible floating around.
No one knows exactly why history is being rewritten, or even if it is, as no clear evidence can be found.
There are lots of theories, one being the guys at CERN were bragging about opening holes into parallel universes and other dimensions with their particle accelerator. If you want to see more there is lots of stuff floating around on youtube, this link explains it and shows lots of examples
