RE: Let's Talk About Intermittent Fasting - How It Changed My Mind and Body

in #life7 years ago

This was a really goo post @yasminep. You are deffinietely on the right track and you pinpointed key factors that people need to hear about intermittent fasting. The main thing is that its not for everyone. Everybody is unique, so one fitness plan will not work for everybody. The second main point i like is to record your findings and responses. Everyone needs a reference point so they can improve if they wish to continue. One thing I may add about intermittent fasting is that Though your body will feed on fat stores while fasting, it may also feed at your muscles as well. The body will sometimes break down muscle to access protein, in order for the multiple functions the body needs to perform. So I would say a protein rich diet, or at lest when you break the fast (i.e. eggs) will be key to shedding fat and keeping that lean and healthy look! There is so much to list but still, this was very informative and the community will really benefit from this post!

Great point there. Thanks for adding that! There's definitely a lot more to the science part, which I thought best I didn't get into, especially as there is some conflicting evidence. Really appreciate your reply! Thanks again!

Of course! The science to it all gets tricky, but it's up to us to simplify it for the people. We are on the right track!
