Today I make a Plan
Everyone wants things they don't have. Wealth, health, happiness, etc. What stops most people, if you ask them, is that they don't know the "how." They know it's possible. They just haven't figured out how.
How, is a daunting question. It seems to require a brilliant idea to answer.
Goal setting is what successful people do. If you want something then make it a goal and let your desire be the "how." Your desire will pull you along. All you need are the resources.
If you are dying to go see a concert you simply list the resources. Ticket, transportation, location of concert, money. If you have all of those things, the "how" solves itself. You simply use your resources.
Achieving long term goals is best done by setting and achieving short term goals. "How" pops up over and over. It always seems to require some brilliant idea or research or education. You can spend the rest of your life online educating yourself and looking for answers.
I want to own my own company. I want to work for myself. I know that. The desire is there. I don't have a clear vision though. I have some principles and I have some ideas. But my vision must first be clear. I need a solid blueprint to work from. The problem is, I don't know HOW to create this vision.
Today I work on answering the first part of that How. I make a plan to achieve the vision. These might be mental resources, spatial, atmospheric, strategic, or temporal. I might just need time to meditate in a peaceful location. I might need to research business models. I might need to connect with other business owners for input. I might need to do something crazy to challenge my views of what is possible.
Today I make a Plan. Tomorrow I will Resource.
