Thanks for the thoughtful reply and the words of wisdom. I find the quote to be intriguing. Following John Truby goes hand in hand with what you said as a writer. He states: You should write for yourself first. That you should take your time deciding what you really want to say with a story before going into a long detailed process of turning it into a novel.
I'm actually finding published authors that preach this as well. To not worry about what other people say. Put your heart into it, put it out there and fight for it. Simple as that.
I will definitely check you out for an audiobook when the time comes.
