My Most Profound Life Lesson: Using my Failure(s) as an Opportunity to Grow

in #life8 years ago

As per @drpuffnstuff recent post regarding what your biggest life lesson has been, I have thought about this for a few days now and have come to a conclusion as to what has stood out to me the most.

There are so many obstacles in this game called life and so many learning curves that ultimately shape who we are and what we will become. To me, the biggest lesson that I have learned over my 21 years of life is to not fear failure. Nobody enjoys failing, but this aspect of life is honestly vitally important and, in my eyes, necessary in order to achieve personal growth as an individual.

The biggest mistake you can ultimately make in life is the thought of being scared to make one to begin with. To fear failure, you are either scared of it and will never do anything interesting, or alternatively you are terrified of admitting it, so you continue on a disastrous course of action, thus continuing to fail because you keep telling yourself, 'you are not failing.'

When we talk about failure or struggle in one's life, we should think of this as an opportunity for your character to grow rather than as a moment of despair or misery. Failure is a part of everyday life, and we must embrace our failures, learn from them and rise again, such that we do not make the same mistake twice.

If we are able to willingly accept our failures, then we shall be much more likely to flourish in our bright and boundless futures that remain ahead. Failure(s) shall ultimately lead us to find our very own pathway, which shall be defined by success and everlasting prosperity.

Let's use our failures as a catalyst to grow, on this journey of life, together.

You never lose you only win or learn if have the right state of mind.. and the less what if's you have in life, the less regret. its not the failures that cause regret its the what if's. What if you had tried

Good lesson, thanks for sharing. You are appreciated!

Absolutely right! always learning and using my failures to my advantage to grow.. whether it be physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, socially, etc., etc., etc.

Working towards minimizing these 'what if' moments so I do not have to feel regret. Can't completely get rid of them, however, bc nobody is perfect, we are all human and that is human nature.

My pleasure, I enjoyed this quite much and glad I could share something of what I hope was valuable to some of my fellow steemians.

Much respect
