We often are made to feel we should have one plan, one goal, one aim of life. Some of us achieve that, and most of us realize our achievements and the patterns of our life only in retrospect. Life has many phases.

One of the great myths we have is the unbroken chain, the master plan, and the exemplary execution. Meanwhile, most of us realize it is a series of fits and restarts, dead ends, broken trails, and circular patterns. As failure is the best teacher, we grow to understand that the best pieces of our life can be assembled into any pattern of our choosing. It is our choice to make the perfect mosaic for ourselves which is invariably an assemblage of beautiful bits and threads that we have merged via our own personal genius of sensibilities into an image coherently mirroring our own intimate soul.

Embrace your inner wabi-sabi and the marvelous diversity of people, thoughts, skills, knowledge, and diversions that arise from your own voice. Ignore the stereotypes which disable and listen to your own inner voice which enables.
