CONSIDERING WIND ENERGY
In this present generation. People do not consider that application of wind energy is a least expensive way. Wind power like other means of generating power has it advantages. When we talk of wind power, It is simply the usage of airflow through wind turbines to achieve the powering of generators mechanically for electric supply.
There are reasons why one may say it is safe of which i will discuss later.
Wind energy has existed for a very long time now, say machines powered by wind have been used to pump water and even grow grains for about two millennia ago. In 1887, the first windmill which was used for electric power production was built in Scotland by a professor of named James Blyth in Glasgow.
His house was also the first house to be powered electrically by wind power. The wind turbines there were used to charge accumulators for the powering of his cottage lighting. Blyth later proposed to the people of Marykirk that he would like to supply electric power to the community. The people declined his proposal saying it was the 'work of the devil' . That is funny though.
These are the positive things that must be considered about wind energy;
• It can be used as an alternative to burning of fuel
• Wind energy is renewable
• The fact that it is renewable, makes it comprise of less problems than a non-renewable power source
• It is distributed widely
• It does not consume water
• It is abundant
With these few reasons, atleast one can be convinced why wind energy should be put into consideration globally.
