Where Is The Love?

This world has become so corrupted, and a huge lack of love is very noticeable!!

As beings of love, it is plain as day the corruption filling the world. The growth of ego and loving of self over others is on a massive climb the last few decades, now so more than ever. We are at our best when we are one in unity. There is strength and numbers, but there are some serious forces at work trying to rip us apart!!

Looking back to how things used to be and how things were in older days from stories I would hear, times have changed much for the worse when it comes to love. People used to be far more friendly towards one another. Compliments would often be exchanged between strangers on the streets. Nowadays you can't do any of that without some kind of suspicion or giving someone the wrong idea. It seems to be a bad side effect of the world we're presented in the news and television, and of corrupt greedy powers who want nothing but total control.

People seemed much more sophisticated compared to today in their manners, and the way they dressed. I'd take class over popularity any day. It seems a lot of it is a thing of the past, or just fronts people will put on from time to time in the business world and really is only still upheld by royals. For a good two years when I had turned 20, I had started acting more this way and was taken in all the wrong ways. For instance, I had made it common of speaking my mind. I'd call a girl beautiful as a compliment and it'd either be taken as "I want to sleep with you." or I'm hitting on them. It stunted a lot of friendships and I just forced myself to tell them to "shut up" if they were criticizing themselves (as most people I knew had severe self-esteem issues and it's an extreme peeve of mine when someone who isn't "fat" and quite attractive insult themselves. It always seemed to be the people above average which is brought on by the unrealistic expectations thrown at us thanks to media.). Even today, that carries over unless the person really needs to hear it or I'm in a relationship with them. As for even simple compliments, I couldn't really give them out without someone thinking you wanted something in return. Or just acting weirded out. I myself even react in that manner at times, but more from anxiety and severe trust issues.

Chivalry itself seems to be dead as our attention is drawn into yet more division by extreme feminism and a generation of arrogance, ignorance, and hate. We judge by race, sex, religion, political views, and so many more needless and unnecessary things for beings who are meant to love and be together. A dear friend had once told me that "romance shouldn't be reserved for just partners. It encompasses more than sex and marriage. Kisses and endearment, something as simple as watching the moonlight over waters or being alone in the stars or field of flowers can be romantic for those who are willing to embrace what they are." Romance in itself means a feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love. We're meant to be a loving people of oneness and unity, not the hate and discord we see on the news every day. We've been being programmed now more than ever to separate and fight. Our ego in our opinions and viewpoints take hold of us and we do nothing but cast judgement on our brothers and sisters on a daily basis. For those who are religious; We were given a very simple command.

Matthew 22 37-39

Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

It isn't just in Christianity! Many religions hold onto this! A quote from Tablets of `Abdu'l-Bahá:

Love is the mystery of divine revelations! Love is the effulgent manifestation! Love is the spiritual fulfilment! Love is the light of the Kingdom! Love is the breath of the Holy Spirit inspired into the human spirit! Love is the cause of the manifestation of the Truth (God) in the phenomenal world! Love is the necessary tie proceeding from the realities of things through divine creation!

So why has the world become this way? Why is it we've moved so far away from love over the last 100 or so years, and even more so the last 20? We haven't changed as a species. We're still beings of love and should act accordingly instead of letting our wants and needs, our greed and anger, our jealousy and sadness overcoming our capacity for good. There are energies at work that are changing our frequencies and our minds to do horrible things! No this isn't some mind control conspiracy, look around you. If you're at least over 20, you have to admit you've seen a severe change in the world around you. The news and media are filled with nothing but negativity and our minds pick up on that even if you don't feel it. Take it upon yourself to help fix this problem. Be the change in the world and start working towards peace and unity before we destroy ourselves. Love is the key to changing the world but it has become so hard to find that we may need a little help. I hope some people will try and seek out that help and make a change. Be a little more polite and caring to one another. Be well.
