Today I would like to discuss a heavy topic. That topic is suicide. This is a very serious subject as I’m sure everyone knows or has a friend who has known someone to take their own lives. This goes against our core beliefs and we would never promote such an act.

Jeramiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

The Lord wants peace for us. One of the commandments is thou shall not kill. Would this not apply to suicide? It’s still considered murder! If we take our lives we’re interfering with the plans that the Lord has for us. We’re being set back.

There are six total accounts of suicide in the Bible. These are Abimelech, Samson, Saul, Ahithophel, Zimri and the most infamous; Judas. All from a lack of identity, revenge, stress, bitterness, a problem with authority and guilt. Reasons that are still used to this day that people struggle with.

The Lord gives us a promise:
Matthew 11:28

“Come unto me, all of you who labor and are forced to bear burdens, and I shall give you rest.”

When littered with demons of discord and chaos, it may be hard to believe this, but he will help us. We need to only give faith to him instead of looking to others to save us. Only Christ can save us, no human can.

We know that reincarnation is real, we have chosen to come back to this world and live another life while waiting for a body to be made for our souls in the Kingdom. Life is a gift from God and it is important we value it. We could have been wiped out but we were given a chance to grow and evolve. We made the choices of our lives and the path each would take. Some choose easy, some choose difficult to help them grow, but ending that life ruins everything. Our progress is reset and it takes another cycle to even attempt these goals again. Once we take our lives we don’t get to choose the next go around of anything that will happen to us.

“There is no royal road to anything. One thing at a time, all things in succession. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grows slowly, endures.”– Josiah Gilbert Holland

Remember everything we have been through to get to where we are. Why would you ever throw that away just to start again? Things can get better over time, just put faith in the Lord and his Father. We all need to grow. Love God and love each other. In Lord RayEl’s name, amen.

This is really good. You are going to help alot of people ! Very wise .. so true

Suicide took one of my friends I was close to...Sad it is....

Wise words and a good message. Life is not easy, it was never told to us it would be easy. If anything the Bible tells us we would be hated and persecuted for following Christ. Life is a gift, our clergy vows and codes of honor also tell us to uphold life. This gift we must all realize it is precious and fragile, but with some tender care and the love from our brothers and sisters, also especially from the Lord Himself, it can help us all through difficult times!
