Resist the temptation to shit-post

I have read a lot of complaints about the quality of the posts that can be seen on the trending page, the general argument is that there is a lot of low-quality content being rewarded on Steemit which to some leads to what is called “ the reward pool raping”, harsh term right?
On one hand I believe that the stake that investors have either bought or obtained through countless hours of writing is for them to use as they see fit. If I want to cast a 100% full vote on a picture of a stupid crypto-kitten that is my decision and it is my Steem to use. But on the other, I believe that with power comes responsibility, the rewards I give to a shit-post is being taken away from another good quality unfound post.
Some people have “won” my automated vote through their past posts that I liked, I auto-vote to support people 24/7, nevertheless this auto-voting strategy votes for all good and shit posts. Which is of course unfair.
Conclusion
My view on the endless “shit-posting” debate is:
Everyone is free to shit-post as much as they want, is their blog and the blockchain is meant to be free and uncensored. However, it is the responsibility of those who are voting to decide whether to vote or not for a particular shit post. All in all, what could be a shit-post to me could be a very funny picture to another user, so live and let live. I will nonetheless try my best to not vote for generic or automated shit-posts.

Sometimes I feel like I put in SOO much work and create damn good posts (in my opinion) but I’ve never seen it on the trending or hot page and people it’s sort of unfair their content is shit

Life tends to be unfair really, for what is worth I try to vote you every time.

Many whales are defending these types of creators and I don't know why but this is happening on ground !
But the fact is there are lots of good whales too who are fighting against them without getting worried about their profits . @randowhale is the biggest example of it ! Bdw it is good that these types of things are happening right before happening hard fork and there is time for @ned and his team to fix this issue !

Hey, I haven't seen you posting for a while. You got a valid and pretty good opinion here! I would add that as people are able to upvote unvaluable content at 100%, some other have the right to downvote the same content at 100% in order to reach a consens over the rewards of that post. Unfortunately, this is enough to start a war...

Let's try to not step into elitism about what is trash and what is quality content shall we. After all that's what others do outside of this STEEMIT framework. I say let everybody decide for his or herself what is valuable and what is not.

You are right in what you say, and that is that the diversity of content is so great, that not everyone has the same points of view.
But many times those who try more, are the least rewarded, but life is like that, and there is no need to grieve.

yeah I also see a lot of shit posts at Trending list! But no one is wish to talk about it! Coz of fear to get flag from Reward pool rapers! Sometimes it's disappointing me! But nothing to do! If whale favor to read our posts and share their upvote power upon us that would be a great idea than providing their valuable upvotes on shit posts!
One more thing I hate that Auto vote feature! it's draining vote power of a person for nothing! Great you decided to discuss about this matter!
