Child Abuse or Not?

Many ridiculous things have been happening in our planet. Over here in my part of the country, a new story has emerged; a very embarrassing story.

In Ebonyi state, one of the most undeveloped and under civilized states in Nigeria, a woman used her baby girl as collateral for 100 naira loan.

Its actually frightening that a person would use an asset or a property as collateral for any loan, not to talk of a baby. The amount she actually used her baby as collateral for actually something anyone could easily afford, I mean that's a human being. I would have termed it Slavery but I don't know what to call it.

The problem on ground is that, the mother of this baby doesn't know the whereabouts of this money lender, as she only met her at the Rice refinery there in Ebonyi state and borrowed the money.

The mind of an irresponsible mother, to hand her innocent baby over to a total stranger over a hundred naira loan. I'm scared for myself!

This happened since November last year, imagine the duration. Do you think the baby will ever be found? How will the police help solve the situation? What should be done to this mother?
