Letting Our Words And Thoughts Attract More Weeds

in #life3 years ago

Mind weeds are often difficult to remove because the true reason they grow is we often don't even notice them. They slip by unnoticed until their symptoms become severe and then we discover this horrible growth. What are the root causes of these pesky growths? What triggers an attack and how do we avoid it in the future? These are important questions that need answers.

All plants have seeds, they germinate and start growing seeds. The human mind is no different, except that we use different language to describe what a plant is and therefore what seeds it produces. The seed of truth is that all mental growth are born from within and then the seeds change in order to fulfill their purpose for our life on this planet.

The mental seeds of weeds germinate inside our minds. This happens constantly without us even realizing it. We notice changes in our behavior and that can be a sign of weeds growing within us. We see ourselves moving from one state to another, we may feel stressed, unhappy or angry.

Weeds of the mind are often hidden by our normal daily habits. For example, if we normally ride with on a bike when confronted with a crowd of cars or an angry mob, we are probably dealing with the effects of stress or anger. We have a tendency to lash out at the people in our lives who irritate us, even if they are only trying to help us. We become disconnected from our own inner feelings and therefore cannot connect to our subconscious. Our defense system tells us to fight back at every sign of irritation or conflict with another human being or even a pet dog. We create more stress and tension and the vicious cycle begins.

Weeds of the subconscious can also attack us when we least expect it. It is called the 'flight or fight' response. When we are in danger, our sympathetic nervous system triggers a flight or fight response within us. The response includes a dramatic increase in blood pressure, shallow breathing and rapid heart beat. All these actions are geared to either getting away from the danger or fighting it head on and winning against it.

However, when we are not in any physical danger, but rather are simply in our own minds dealing with conflicting emotions, this response can turn into a vicious cycle. We start to overreact and take matters into our own hands by attacking the weeds with our feelings. We push and pull at our problems until we are left with no choice but to remove ourselves from the situation.

This is why dealing with weeds can be so difficult for many people. We do not always know where to begin. We have our defenses geared up against dealing with the weeds instead of the weeds themselves. We try to attack them head on, but the response of this attack causes even more stress and anxiety.

So the real question here is, are we prepared to deal with the fact that the weeds are also our thoughts? Do we recognize that what we are doing and saying has the possibility to become a problem instead of an answer? If we don't, then it becomes our responsibility to learn how to get out of our way of thinking and put all of our energy into creating solutions instead.

This is actually easier than it seems. First of all, we have to decide that we will no longer allow the "noise" to consume us. We will no longer allow our lives to be consumed by the "noise". We will decide instead that we are going to address our problem and that we will solve it for ourselves. The solution might not always be something that others have thought of before us, but it will be a solution that we have found for ourselves.

It is very easy to find yourself attacking the things around you instead of the things that are going on around you. You may be attacking your anxiety instead of the anxiety. It is also very easy to find yourself not having any life whatsoever.

Weeds are always part of the process of life. They are a necessary part of life. They help to keep the environment healthy. They help to grow life giving plants. Weeds do not kill you. The real question to ask is: can you let weeds live in your life?
