Give Recommendations in Order to Help Your Clients Improve

in #life3 years ago

Give recommendations when you can. If you can, try to make recommendations to your best friends, family and colleagues. Do it with tact and delicacy. If you are recommending a person to someone else, you want them to like the person you are recommending. If you don't have any feelings for someone, don't mention it.

It's always easier to be kind than mean. Think about your own self improvement and what would motivate you to do it. It could be related to your spouse or significant other. Your child would probably love to hear from you. Make sure it's a relationship that is based on mutual respect.

You also should take into account your future. Do you want to continue being happy with just being mediocre? Do you want to push yourself to do better and be great? Giving yourself improvement suggestions should be part of that future planning.

It's also good to be candid in assessing how you are doing. This is a reflection of your own performance and is a way for you to let others know about what is going well and how you can improve. Sometimes we are too focused on our successes and failures. You can use your achievements and successes to motivate you.

Recommendations can be either positive or negative. A recommendation given out to a friend can be a positive reinforcement of their friendship. If it is true that they have helped you in some way, it will give you some satisfaction. Even if it is not the truth, you know you have helped them in some way. It is important to remember that we base our decisions upon our past and these are the memories that we have of that person.

Past experiences affect us in different ways. Negative ones can leave us bitter and broken. Good experiences can greatly influence us. We remember those events positively. Some people are very lucky, while others have less good experiences. It's important to work on the good times so that they come out as successes.

Sometimes, you may need to look at the perspective of the person you are giving it to. If the person you are giving it to has a poor view of their own abilities, it's not a great idea to talk with them about it. There could be a better way to convey your message. Just a simple suggestion like, "I just think you are a little under the weather." If they do not take it seriously, you may lose a potential client.

There are many reasons to give recommendations. Whether they are for a new boss, a new marketing strategy, or improvement for a job, they are a great way to stay connected. When you follow up, it helps establish a long term relationship. Don't just send a thank you note. Make a real connection.

Be specific when offering suggestions. For example, if you are a consultant and your client has started an online business, it's important to note the problems they are having. Tell them what you did to help them overcome these obstacles. Maybe they found another opportunity that would have given them more security. This will leave a good impression.

When you give recommendations, be sure to be specific. For example, if your client is unhappy with their current boss, tell them why you think they are miserable. Even saying "My opinion of your supervisor" is helpful.

In addition to the actual actions you took, make sure to explain what actions you planned to take to improve things for them. For example, if you notice that they are struggling with job satisfaction, tell them what you did to make them more satisfied. This will give the client an action plan for their future job satisfaction. You don't want to tell them to change, but rather provide them with a tool for future success. This will make them feel like they are in control of their future.

Even if you think your suggestions will not make a huge difference, don't be afraid to give them. They will appreciate your willingness to take responsibility for their future. Even if they don't accept your advice now, they may down the road.
