Fear Is A Good Thing.
Fear, as some dictionaries put it, is an unpleasant emotion caused by being aware of danger. It is the feeling of being afraid. But the question is: is it truly 'unpleasant' to be afraid?
It is often said that fear is not a good thing. All through our childhood we've been constantly told to live a fearless life. Even the movies we were exposed to encouraged fearlessness. But is it truly right to feel and show no fear?
I'm of the opinion that fear is not a bad thing. It highlights our humanity. It takes courage to be afraid and admit it.
Fear shows that you're not stupid. Only fools tend to dabble into any terrain without showing fear. Such people are often too confident and end up failing. So, in this case, the fear of failure can be a good thing.
When you're afraid of failing, it helps you sit up and do your best not to fail. You don't just go into any business or endeavour without measuring all possible outcomes of such move.
The fear of success, too, can make anyone manage success well(with some humility) and stay successful for long when such a person finally sees the silver lining. What if you land that acting job? Can you stay at the top? Can you manage fame? These questions can help you keep your head down and focus on being at the top when you finally attain such heights.
Fear can be a good signal that you're changing and growing, stepping away from your comfort zone. When you're threading a new path in life, it is okay that you should be afraid. It makes you cautious and reduces the chances of failure.
A wise person would be afraid before going into any business, relationship, career, and other life pursuits. You don't underrate your competitors. It takes a bit of fear to show your competitors some respect and when you do that, you realize that you have to be ontop of your own game in order to beat them, and that, my friends, is courage.
It takes courage to be fearful. Cowards never stare at fear. They run from it. Don't be a coward.

Well written. Good post. But yet, i dont believe this should be called fear but rather self confidence. Because fear is fear and always negetive but like you said, wether fear or self confidence** it can be worked on to produce a better result.
