Silence leaves us alone with our thoughts and thinking is scary, introspection is scary and various observations we choose to ignore with stimuli as a distraction.
Silence becomes more and more precious as we continue to down it out and I feel thats why modern times we cause a lot of unnecessary angst because we don't want to enjoy the silence
